Let’s Get This Party Started’ with Dame Shirley Bassey OBE at Cliveden

 Andrew Davis hosted a £500,000 party at Cliveden for Dame Shirley Bassey’s belated 70th birthday on Sunday 16th December 2007. The legendary singer actually reached the milestone in January but they jointly decided to invite their top 500 guests to last nights bash in Berkshire.
Despite celebrating her own birthday, Dame Shirley Bassey could not resist singing 'Happy Birthday' to herself and to her guests, before cutting her four-tiered red birthday cake designed by cake-maker-to-the-stars Eric Lanlard.
Andrew Davis, owner and chairman of the von Essen collection of luxury hotels, helicopters and jets, commented, ‘I enjoyed treating our guests and Dame Shirley Bassey to a memorable night at Cliveden. 2007 has been a very successful year and we look forward to 2008 with excitement!’
Celebrity attendees: Bruce Forsyth, Honor Blackman, Tony Hadley, Rolf Harris, Lord Brocket, Toyah Wilcox, Tony Christie, Joan Collins, Julien McDonald, Christopher Biggins, Matthew Williamson , David Emmanuel, Cilla Black, John Madejski, Peter de Savary and Raine Countess Spencer.
