Opera in the Park at Ston Easton Park

Britain’s principal touring opera company, Opera Brava, will bring together a cast of national and international singers to perform an open air concert at the stunning Ston Easton Park in Somerset this summer. Visitors to ‘Opera in the Park’ this season will experience Puccini’s finest score, La Bohème and Mozart's ''perfect'' opera, The Marriage of Figaro.
Jeremy Silver, who has conducted English National Opera and toured as Principal Conductor in the USA and Africa, is now musical director of Opera Brava. With Bronek Pomorski who directs both pieces; opera fans and newcomers to classical entertainment are in for a real treat this year as Opera Brava visits one of England’s finest Country Estates.
Ston Easton Park is a most befitting backdrop so such a prestigious event. The stage will be rigged affront the façade of the superb 18th Century Palladian mansion and guests are invited to bring chairs, rugs and picnics to enjoy on the splendid front lawn.

Luxury Picnic Box
Why not treat yourselves to a specially prepared Ston Easton Park picnic box? Award winning Head Chef Matthew Butcher and his brigade will create a luxury selection of savoury and sweet items for you to enjoy on the front lawn. Also included in your picnic box will be a bottle of Laurent Perrier Champagne. £40 per person
Picnic boxes cater for two people and must be ordered by Friday 10th July 2009. Opera tickets are not included and should be purchased separately from Opera Brava – Tel. 01444 443000.
Pre-Opera Gourmet Dinner
Join us from 5.30pm for a Laurent Perrier Champagne reception. A gourmet starter and main course will follow, courtesy of Head Chef Matthew Butcher. Dessert will then be specially packaged for you to take out on to the lawn and enjoy during the interval. Your ticket is included along with reserved priority seating for the opera. Coffee will be available during the interval in a special VIP area open only to those on a dining or residential package. Reserved parking is also included. £85.00 per person
Entertaining at the Opera
Join us in the VIP area on the front lawn for a Laurent Perrier Champagne and Canapé reception from 5.30pm. Head Chef, Matthew Butcher will design a special three course summer menu to be served amidst the formal boxed hedges, (Starter and main course will be served before the concert and dessert and coffee will be served from a buffet table during the interval). Included in this package is a half bottle of specially selected wine per person, coffee and petit fours. Reserved priority seating for the opera is included as well as use of the VIP bar area throughout and reserved parking. £105.00 per person. Minimum parties of 8 – Tables seat a maximum of 10.

ACCOMODATION OFFERS
The Ultimate ‘Opera in the Park’ Experience
Arrive at your leisure to reserved parking and join us inside the house for a Laurent Perrier Champagne reception from 6.00pm on the Friday or 5.30pm on the Saturday. Created by Head Chef Matthew Butcher, your gourmet starter and main course will then be served at 6.30pm on the Friday and 6.00pm on the Saturday.
The concert will follow and you will enjoy priority, reserved seating. A delicious dessert will be artfully packaged and given to you to enjoy later on the lawn. Coffee will also be available during the interval in a special, open air VIP area open only to those on a dining or residential package.
After the opera we invite you to return to the house for coffee and petit fours. Wines are not included but will be available for purchase on the night.

‘A la Lawn’ overnight package
Check in to your newly refurbished, luxury double bedroom and then join us outside to enjoy the stunning grounds or to make yourselves comfortable in your chosen spot on the lawn. Award winning Head Chef Matthew Butcher and his brigade will create a luxury selection of savoury and sweet items, wrapped up in a luxury picnic box for you to enjoy on the front lawn. Also included in your picnic box will be a bottle of Laurent Perrier Champagne to enjoy at your leisure.
After the Opera we invite you to join us inside the house for coffee and petit fours before retiring to your bedroom or perhaps enjoying a night-cap in the comfort of one of our drawing rooms.
This package includes one nights luxury accommodation in a newly refurbished bedroom, a full English breakfast, 2 tickets for the Opera, your personal luxury picnic box of savoury and sweet items to enjoy on the front lawn (serves 2), and a bottle of Laurent Perrier Champagne, coffee and petit fours post concert in the house and VAT.
